Le Dernier jour d'un condamné

Victor Hugo wrote "The Last Day of a Condemned Man" in 1829. It was about a man , whose punishment was death penalty. The story is pretty much full of sadness and feelings. In my opinion, reading this kind of books need strong personality. Some people can't stand , some others don't want to hear anything about poverty. Victor Hugo is the writer of many famous books that take place in World Classics. "Les Miserables , Notre-Dame de Paris , Les Feuilles d'automne" and so much more masterpieces.
I understand Victor Hugo.. It's all clear in his books that he respected poor people and never supported cruel punishments. If you like to see other people suffer , you have no human sense. No matter what is the guilt I'm totally against the death penalty. First you should try to correct that person's personality , not kill , not abuse neither use as a slave. Killing won't stop anything but love can heal everything.
